The Automotive Lube Technician is responsible for performing basic maintenance services on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements. This entry-level position plays a vital role in ensuring customer vehicles are properly maintained and safe for the road, while supporting the service team with inspections and minor repairs.

Lube Technician - Essential Duties



Perform oil and filter changes, lubrications, and basic maintenance services on a variety of vehicles.


Inspect vehicle systems including tires, brakes, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and filters.


Rotate and balance tires as needed.


Refill or replace vehicle fluids (coolant, transmission, brake, power steering, windshield washer, etc.).


Maintain accurate service records and report any findings or concerns to senior technicians or service advisors.


Keep the shop area clean, organized, and free of hazards.


Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.


Assist senior technicians with repairs and diagnostics as directed.


Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.


QualificationsQualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent required.


Previous experience in basic vehicle maintenance preferred (but not always required).


Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.


Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and automotive systems.


Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.


Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
