Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our PRN Maternal Fetal Medicine physician, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Federal Way, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of women’s health cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families.  We pride ourselves in practicing high quality, evidence based, and patient centered medicine.

 

You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate MFM physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex Women’s Health disorders, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment. 

  • This is a PRN position based at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, a 375 bed Level II trauma center.    

  • The position includes outpatient clinic and some call duties which can be mostly taken from home.

  • Procedures include cerclages, amniocentesis with CVS and fetal echocardiogram.  

  • The group delivers 0-4 babies per month.  There is 24/7 anesthesia coverage as well as OB hospitalist coverage for OB triage, OB emergencies and ED calls.

  • St. Joseph Medical Center has a level III NICU capable of caring for infants as young as 22 weeks.  We also have a partnership with Seattle Children’s for specialty newborn care if needed.

  • This is a non benefited position but includes malpractice insurance and licensure reimbursement.  There is also a travel reimbursement benefit for non local providers.

 

 


Job Requirements

Required

 

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution

  • Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN with MFM subspecialty certification

  • Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship training

  • Active or eligible license in the state of Washington

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families
