JOB TITLE:   

Manager, Information Technology

JOB PURPOSE:

Assist the designated supervisor by managing daily functions for assigned area including operational, financial and personnel functions within Information Technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the daily operational functions for assigned area.
  • Assist designated support staff with troubleshooting problems and project implementation.
  • Develop budget recommendations and monitor expenditures for assigned area.
  • Confer with, advise faculty, staff, students, administration and other personnel concerning computer information requests, services, and needs; maintain production support for systems by working with customers on upgrades and enhancements or new products.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Evaluate, assess and recommend resources for the enhancement, maintenance, or improvement of equipment, personnel, systems or services.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education:  Bachelor’s degree

Experience:  5 years work-related experience 

Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:  None

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Knowledge of electronic medical record systems
  • Knowledge of protected health information (HIPPA Compliance)
  • Knowledge of billing and insurance processing and including pharmacy systems
