And just steps away from the Cancer Center is the Outpatient Infusion Center that offers 14 beds, private cubicles and oncology trained caregivers that ensure every patient receives compassionate, comfortable and quality care. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is looking to work Monday through Friday on a highly functioning team. This team is very supportive of continuing education, and many RNs have completed their MSN or BSN working in this department.

A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.  

• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.  

• Administer medications and treatments.  

• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.  

• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. 

• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment. 

• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
