JOB SUMMARYProvides leadership for the creation, coordination, execution and growth of complex programs independently. Provides leadership to support programs that are expected to experience significant change, expansion or evolution over time.

The person selected for this position will coordinate the required education recognition program research and data management for our ADA accreditation. This position is responsible for DSME CQI projects and outcomes relating to nutritional management and patient physical activity as well as A1c management. This position provides diabetic education and medical nutrition therapy to our diabetic patients in addition to the accreditation work and oversees the Diabetes Self-Management Education program development and implementation for the Endocrinology clinics.
In addition, the candidate selected for this position will oversee a team of four – five individuals.

Our program operates within the Eskind Diabetes Clinic, a nationally recognized facility for adult, pediatric and gestational diabetes treatment.
Hours:
This position is Monday - Friday; Days. 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops program plans, goals and objectives in collaboration with program and area leadership.
• Provides professional and/or technical leadership in the execution of day-to-day program activities.
• Communicates within and across department to maximize information sharing around progress, needs, inter-dependencies and accomplishments.
• Participates in institutional task forces and other special committees related to the achievement of goals and objective.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Process Improvement (Advanced): Identifies, analyzes and improves upon existing business processes for optimization and to meet standards of quality.
• Financial Processes (Advanced): Ability to monitor costs, expenses and revenue as well as the ability to manage those costs and expenses in relation to budgeted amounts.
• Mentoring & Coaching (Intermediate): The essence of training and mentoring on the job is transfer of knowledge. Whereas training can be considered more formal and scheduled, mentoring is often in the form of guidance and "hands-on" experiences. The reporting relationship is unimportant since the purpose is to pass on information and experiences.
