Sr. Empty Vessel Planner

POSITION SUMMARY

 

• Plan empties for vessels.
• Coordinate empty stock levels with the stock management team, to ensure stock is at appropriate levels.
• Work with stock management to stock feed areas where needed.
• Maintain high level of communication with cargo flow, HO, stock management, and the Ports.
• Seek/maintain cost savings initiatives in corresponding areas that will benefit CMA CGM
• Maintain forecast to understand storage and inventory risk in upcoming weeks.
• Target idles/damages that are sent for empty vessel loading.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

 

• Good attention to detail with good problem-solving abilities
• Excellent analytical skills
• Proficient skills in MS Excel including pivot tables, v-lookups & graphing functions
• Proficient skills in MS Access including writing macros and code, debugging & general background knowledge.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Working knowledge of how to run SQL’s and macros with PL/ SQL Developer

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

• Minimum of two (2) years shipping industry experience is preferred.
• General working knowledge of Equipment procedures is preferred.
• 1+ years of industry and general experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED require; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
