As a HR Business Partner, you’ll provide strategic people consultation across the Operations function for Hard Disk Drives (HDD) in the US. This role will own and drive the function’s talent strategy - translating business plans into talent, engagement, and organization plans. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as a talent strategist, trusted advisor, and leadership coach to senior executive leaders

  • Own and drive the function’s talent strategy in alignment with the business strategy.
  • Diagnose workforce needs and gaps with a data-driven approach to inform priorities related to workforce planning, organization design, culture, succession planning and leader development.
  • Operationalize the talent strategy with an enterprise mindset, strong execution rigor, effective change management and high degree of collaboration across the ecosystem.
  •  Build deep relationships with senior executive leaders and factory General Managers, coaching and influencing them along our manufacturing transformation journey focused on driving automation, Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies and related large-scale up-skilling.
  • Deliver the Strategic Workforce Planning agenda for the U.S. focused on skill development and building a pipeline of diverse talent at all levels of the organization, particularly university hires.
  • Maintain a pulse on the employee experience through action planning with leaders on engagement data, regular formal and informal listening sessions and monitoring attrition data.

Influence design and drive adoption of enterprise-wide strategic talent programs

  • Drive the enterprise-wide integrated talent management programs including goal setting, performance feedback, development conversations and rewards within the aligned functions.
  • Participate in cross-functional working teams on talent programs, serving as the voice of the business and bringing insights from external industry trends into the discussions.
  • Amplify and embed a focus on inclusion across life cycle of talent programs.
  • Operate with a solution-oriented and enterprise mindset, collaborating with various Centers of Excellence to optimize the business value of the People Solutions (HR) function.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master’s degree or equivalent with relevant certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources or People Organization (or 6+ years with Master’s degree).
  • 2+ years prior experience as an HR Business Partner (Manufacturing industry experience preferred, but not required) or experience in HR/Organization Development consulting. 
  • Deep understanding of how to design and deliver talent strategy at scale.
  • Experience with coaching and influencing senior executive team.
  • Data fluency to deliver compelling insights, partnering with analytics team in the process.
  • Collaboration skills, experience working with global teams preferred.
  • Systems thinking with the ability to identify connections and interdependencies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and executive presentation skills.
  • Continuous learner, role modeling agility and resilience to lead through ambiguity and change.
  • Results-oriented operating with a high degree of resourcefulness and accountability.
