About the role

Commercial Kitchen Equipment (Hot Side) Service TechnicianOverviewGreat Lakes is hiring a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician specializing in Hot Side repairs in the great Chicago area responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing cooking equipment at our customer locations. Our technicians also provide preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and respond to emergency service calls on equipment including walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in coolers and freezers. Essential Responsibilities

Install, Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Commercial Cooking Equipment
Treat customers and employees with respect, courtesy and professionalism
Complete service calls promptly
Communicate effectively with customers, managers, dispatchers, and sales
Participate in a normal rotation of after-hours and weekend on-call schedule
Identify new customers and additional opportunities within existing accounts
Maintain Service Vehicle
Order Parts and Complete Required Paperwork
Attend Training Sessions
Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

Experience working on cooking equipment such as ovens, combi ovens, fryers, etc.
Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills
Extremely strong customer communication skills
100% dedication to working hard, being on time, and staying organized
Maintain a good personal appearance
Pass Drug Screen and Background Check
Maintain a Valid Driver License with a good driving record
Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Commercial Cooking Equipment
CFESA certification and related Training
At least two years of experience repairing gas, electrical, and steam equipment
Computer literate

Pay: $25.00 to $50.00+ per hour, based on experience
