Surgical Technologist 2 - Full Time, Day or Evening

The renowned Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist 2 to join the Operating Room team in a full-time capacity. This position is full-time evening shift role. This position is eligible for sign on bonus and relocation assistance.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Surgical Technologist 2 demonstrates advanced knowledge of anatomy and is able to anticipate the required instrumentation for each step of a surgical procedure. 
• Can demonstrate advanced knowledge and practice in the role of the first scrub. 
• Expedites the operative procedure by anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
• Keeps the circulating nurse informed of upcoming patient care needs.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of aseptic and surgical technique.
• Establishes and maintains an organized sterile field and applies principles of asepsis.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED 
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred. 
• 1 year experience as a Surgical Technologist 
• Surgical Technologist registration required 
• Must be eligible for Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire; Registration must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• BLS via AHA required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT preferred
