POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

At KFI, we view Interns and CO-OPs as an investment in our future. That means we need to help educate our Interns and CO-OPs in the way we do business, and expose them to a range of projects, work and industry sectors. Our Interns and CO-OPs are typically responsible for performing engineering tasks, providing input and technical expertise, and working closely with management, project team, and clients.

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Site visits to gather field information as required. 
• Performs engineering calculations.
• Excel spreadsheets for document preparation.
• Participates in various meetings, providing analysis, input, and recommendations.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of project schedules as needed.
• Report writing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar area of study.

• Displays professional engineering ethics and complies with KFI policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of engineering design software preferred (e.g. AutoCad, Revit etc).
• Treats people with respect; relates well to people regardless of their organization level, personality, or background.
• Proficient in use of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Writes and presents effectively; adjusts to fit the audience and the message.
• Organized and able to manage time effectively.
• Able to adapt to changing work demands and priorities. 
• Professional, able to represent KFI in a professional manner.
• Willingness to travel if needed. 

Working Conditions

• Some work locations will feature the tough terrain typical of construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing equipment.
