Job Summary

Under general direction, is responsible for leadership, development, and implementation of an “Education to Employment Network” for traditionally marginalized youth as a pathway to meaningful employment and income. Goal is to achieve intergenerational change in one generation.  Serve as the point of central leadership and collaboration for a Consortium of Jesuit schools and their partners.   

This position is being funded by a grant and/or designated source and therefore continuation in the position is contingent upon funding availability

Job Duties

  • Clearly communicates the mission of the Consortium through regular cadence with each consortium member and partner.
  • Coordinates the efforts of individual Consortium members toward the mission.
  • Review and approve grant requests in conjunction with Consortium leadership.
  • Develops and conducts programs in conjunction with members in support of Consortium goals.
  • Works with corporate partners to create internships at the high school and college level which prepare students for an experiential transition from education to successful careers.
  • Works with high school and college students and their families continuously along the pathway to ensure awareness and active participation in the cultivation of internship and career opportunities.
  • Works with Consortium alumni offices to identify and cultivate potential corporate partnerships.
  • Develops corporate relationships leading to the long-term financial sustainability of the Network.
  • Maintains active communication with Consortium leadership with respect to progress toward documented goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the targeted fields of employment.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experiential knowledge of the principles of Ignatian Service.
  • Experience with the development of educational and life skills with youth.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Ability to relate/interact with diverse student populations, institutional personnel, and the public.
  • Ability to work in a flexible work environment including frequent travel to local consortium member and corporate partner locations.
  • Experience with not-for-profit organizations and fundraising is preferred

Compensation

Salary Range: Competitive with the market
