What you need to succeed

• Management of AWS infrastructure components such as VPCs, EC2, EKS, S3, tagging schemes, CloudFormation, etc.
• Deployment and management automation of cloud-based infrastructure and software
• Working with configuration management tools in both Windows and Linux - Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Ensuring cloud-based architectures meet availability and recoverability requirements
• Architecture and implementation of cloud-based monitoring, alerting and reporting – Datadog, Logz.io, InfluxDb, CloudWatch, Catchpoint, ELK, Grafana (Preferred)
• Develop tools to enable teams for greater output and reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotation

 

How you will stand out from the crowd

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years on a platform engineering team focused on solving problems and establishing process across an organization
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with systems engineering and software development
• Experience standardizing cloud and IaC tooling across organizations
• Solid understanding/experience of containerization services such as Docker
• Working knowledge of open-source tools such as Sensu, InfluxDB, Grafana, Logstash, Elasticsearch
• Solid understanding/experience of web services, databases and relating infrastructure/architectures
• Solid understanding of backup/restore best practices
• Solid understanding of computer networking, TCP/IP protocols
• Strong level of expertise in Bash/Powershell/Python or equivalent language
• Excellent Troubleshooting Skills
• Experience supporting an enterprise-level SaaS environment
• Security Experience a plus

The salary range for this position is $90,000 – $165,000/year, plus commissions or discretionary bonus, which will be based on the employee’s performance. Base pay may also vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits.
