Financial Integration Specialist

Scope
As a key contributor to the Operational Accounting team, this role is responsible for onboarding and supporting newly integrated firms in alignment with IMEG’s standards and practices. This role will work with other Finance & Accounting (F&A) team members, along with the key leaders from the merged firms and Team Financial Assistants (TFA’s) after the financial integration date to ensure smooth on-going operations. In addition, this position will support transactional operational accounting functions within F&A.
Principal Responsibilities
Work with cross functional teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to operational accounting functions
Collaborate with the Senior Finance & Accounting Integration Manager and TFA Integrator to understand matters of emerging concern which need to be addressed, and work with the broader F&A team to resolve
Respond directly to questions from the Chief Operations Officer (COO) or Chief Financial Officer (CFO) by providing analysis, answers and solutions related to integration issues and team financial performance
Assist with the migration of recently merged firms’ data into IMEG’s financial ERP
Responsible for working with the TFA Integrator – M&A Specialist and the merged firm’s accounting staff, Project Managers, and leadership before and after the integration date to ensure that matters of ongoing concern are managed, addressed, and resolved
Develop relationships with Client Executives (CEs) and Project Executives (PEs) to facilitate ongoing support and training, assuring they gain a comprehensive understanding of how their team will operate successfully within IMEG
Responsible for working with the Operational Accounting Trainer to train, and/or support training of the merged firm’s accounting staff in IMEG’s operational processes and procedures and in Vantagepoint
Assist the F&A/M&A Team to analyze, manage and reconcile financial transactions of merged firms’ project information and project structure before and after data migration and organize post data merger project structure changes as needed
Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and sub-consultant payments after data migration
Responsible for training members of merged firms, including new CEs, PEs as well as accounting staff, in the IMEG operational accounting processes and procedures. This includes initial training sessions as well as ongoing support/training.
Maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and project/client related material

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint
Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to travel up to 30% with occasional overnight stays
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
10+ years of accounting and/or operational process accounting experience in a professional services firm, including knowledge of project management reporting preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
Salary Range $70,000 - 80,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
