About the role
The Budapest based FX Strategy team forms part of the FX Risk management group, which also includes the Transaction FX team. It is a team of 4 who are mainly responsible for establishing and maintaining the FX Strategy of the entire Group and they are also responsible for managing translational FX Risk by coordinating Group net investment hedging and managing short term balance sheet FX exposures.
The purpose of this role is to support the FX Strategy Junior Manager & FX Strategy Manager in analysis, hedging, activities in respect of Translational FX exposures and Treasury projects for the Group, also to maintain an appropriate control environment. Other accountabilities include:
Monitoring and managing short term balance sheet FX exposures
Supporting FX Strategy Junior Manager & FX Strategy Manager with analyses on Group-level net investment exposures
Assessing the FX implication and advise on the most efficient treatment of tax and treasury projects.
Driving process simplification/efficiency, finding solutions and bring them into live
Ensuring that a robust control environment exists and ensure compliance with accounting standards & internal policies / guidelines
What you’ll bring
University/College degree preferably in economics / finance / accounting
Strong analytical and spreadsheet modelling skills
Previous work experience in a finance team
Experience in accounting area is not a must but preferable
SAP knowledge is not a must but preferable
Fluent English language skills
Pro-active: questions and seeks to understand their own area and its impact
Interprets complex data and communicates findings in a clear and concise manner
Strives to increase efficiency and effectiveness in their work processes while maintaining an appropriate control environment
Strives to understand the “bigger picture”, and the economic/other consequences of their work
