We are seeking a Donor Eligibility Coordinator II. for our Charlotte, NC Office located at: 13500 South Point Blvd, Ste L., Charlotte, NC 28273

Shift Information: First Shift, Tuesday - Friday 10:00 AM - 6 :30 PM & Saturday 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM (This is a Hybrid position - Requirement to work in the office 2-3 days a month after the required in person training)

Hourly rate: $16.11 an hour + Shift Differential (+$1.75 after 3pm, +$2.75 on weekends)

Responsibilities

1. Respond to and manage routine telephone and email inquiries from blood donors, telerecruitment staff and regional blood collections staff regarding donor eligibility and concerns, in line with organization procedures.

2. Maintain records and ensure donor confidentiality.

3. Escalate complex inquiries.

4. Provide on-the-job training and support to new hire staff.

5. May assist with donor investigations.

6. May assist with donor deferral entry into ARC database.

Scope

Full knowledge of job.  Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job.  Contact within department and occasionally outside of organization. Has continuous contact with blood donors and field staff and occasional contact with hospital customers.

Qualifications

Education: High School or equivalent required.  Associate’s degree in science or health care field is preferred.

Experience: 3 years of related customer service experience preferred.  Prior medical terminology and medical background experience is preferred.

Management Experience: N/A

Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team. The ability to read, write and verbally communicate at the high school to college level is required. Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment is required.

Travel: N/A

*Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Physical Requirements

The duties are representative of the essential functions of the position.  Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer and applicable software for sustained periods of time.
