The Opportunity:
The position of Warehouse Worker is within the warehouse facility, part of our Toxicology division located in Portsmouth, VA.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient packaging operation according to Toxicology PRT warehouse standards and inventory procedures. The main objectives are to:
- Lower operating costs by effectively utilizing the ERP during the item-picking process.
- Increase productivity by following work instructions.
- Achieve zero picking errors.
- Communicate products that are out of stock.
- Accurately and efficiently pick items by Lot # and select expiration dates before the verification process.
The Opportunity.
The position of Warehouse Worker is within the warehouse facility, within our Toxicology division located in Portsmouth, VA.
In this role, you would be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient packaging operation of Toxicology PRT warehouse standards and inventory. The main objective is to lower operating costs through effectively utilizing the ERP during the item picking process, increase productivity by following working instructions, zero picking errors, and communicate
Shift:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items by Lot # and expiration date as directed by picking sheets.
- Use a company-issued stamp after picking.
- Read and understand all notes on picking sheets.
- Assist team members with picking, staging, loading, unloading, rotation, and storage of products.
- Operate a manual rolling cart to move products throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness by sweeping floors, wiping up spills, and keeping products organized.
- Follow and abide by all company safety rules.
- Record all damage per company policy and handle damage/dents as they occur.
- Ensure proper handling of picking sheets and place them on the correct cartons.
- Keep floor space clean while picking.
- Conduct daily housekeeping assignments as directed by warehouse management.
