Simulation Engineer for SALT-E Project

This position is a summer position for a student who has completed their Bachelors degree and is planning on pursuing a Masters degree at UNH and contribute to an externally funded project by Brayton Energy LLC.
Duties/Responsibilities
Simulations (75%)
Perform OpenFoam simulations for components related to the project.
Design/Modeling/Testing (15%)
Design/Modeling/Testing of components related to the project.
Other Engineering Support (10%)
Provide other relevant engineering support as needed by the project sponsor.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with strong academic record and experience with CFD and OpenFOAM in particular.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to critically evaluate engineering problems
Ability to troubleshoot, particularly related to coding
Knowledge and understanding of CFD
Knowledge and understanding of Fluid Mechanics
Knowledge and understanding of Thermodynamics and Thermal Systems
Ability to communicate engineering results
Hands-on engineering experience, preferably in the aero-space field
Other Requirements:
