Position Title: Lead Technical Architect

 

Position Description: IBS Software Americas Inc. is seeking a Lead Technical Architect to architect and design the functional requirements for product enhancement with the help of product managers and domain experts to prepare the product platform solution. S/he will perform the following duties: Enable the product Shopping and booking capability using APIs with airlines and hospitality companies. Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical blueprint of the team’s services. Review and recommend the selection of third-party software platforms. Interact with the Business and Data teams to find the data needed for training machine learning models. Drive the analysis and design of database implementations for various features in the project. Define the initiatives like continuous integration of various features and meeting the feature deadline with expected quality. Define the coding standards for developers in adherence to requirements and design specifications and guidelines. The features to be delivered will be evaluated for their architecture, technical feasibility, and performance using tools such as YourKit/JMeter Java Profiler for load testing and performance analysis and Splunk for logging and monitoring. Architect and drive the implementation of AWS Application Discovery Service to automate the discovery of all the applications and help to determine how applications are dependent on each other or on underlying legacy infrastructure. Guide the AWS Cloud Team and DevOps/Firewall team to get server statistics, connectivity to the cloud, and data flow.  Architect and lead the integration of advanced reporting tools, such as Adobe Analytics and Microsoft Power BI. The position is based in Atlanta, GA and various unanticipated locations.

 

 

Position Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related degree plus (5) years of experience in an engineering role or related. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) 5 years of experience designing and implementing API connectivity with airlines and hospitality companies to enable travel product shopping and booking; (2) 5 years of experience in the following: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring and Hibernate in the Architecture design and development of complex travel applications; (3) 5 years of experience with REST Web Services in the creation of external interfaces for applications or to connect to third party GDS (Global Distribution Systems) like Amadeus/Sabre; (4) 5 years of experience Amazon Web Services (AWS) to manage cloud-based applications; (5) 3 years of experience in Agile Methodology: (sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, epics, user stories); (6) 3 years of experience and knowledge in the Flights, Hotel, Car and packaging domain (shopping/booking/ancillary); (7) 3 years of experience and design knowledge of front end (user interface) and back end (APIs) development of software systems; (8) 3 years of experience and knowledge with tools like Splunk, DataDog and Kubernetes which are used as part of software development; and (9) 3 years of experience in Messaging Platforms like Apache Kafka and datalake solutions such as quoble and hive.
