Security Operations Center Analyst

RMC is hiring a Security Operation Center (SOC) Analyst to support one of our customers in Lexington Park, MD. 

The selected applicant will perform a variety of SOC activities including but not limited to: 

• Monitoring the security posture of the Network and attached systems across multiple boundaries using various security tools available to the team.
• Performing technical analysis of threats, vulnerabilities and exploits to SOC Managers and Information Assurance Officers.
• Performing Log analysis for various operating system and application platforms.
• Reporting on metrics from various SIEM products.
• Assisting in configuring and troubleshooting various SOC tools, access policies, and compliance measures.
• Use standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident detection, response, and forensic analysist duties and provide updates as needed.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree and three to ten (3-10) years of experience supporting incident response/incident handling and log analysis/threat detection is required.
• SIEM implementation and use is required. 
• Six (6) years of additional related work experience or an Associate’s Degree and four (4) years of additional related work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. 
• The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE) and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in RDT&E environments.  
• An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to start.  Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
