Job Description

Compass Government Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse (Case Manager) to provide services at the Intrepid Spirit Center of Excellence - Anomalous Health Incidents in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. A Registered Nurse (Case Manager) (RN-CM) assesses patient needs, develops comprehensive care plans, and coordinates services by advocating for patients to ensure quality, cost-effective healthcare outcomes. They are the central point of contact in communication between patients, families physicians, and other healthcare providers while monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustment to the care plan.

In preparation to bid on this contract, we are seeking qualified candidates willing to be included in our proposal as interested and skilled individuals. 

Schedule:

Monday - Friday
Hours of Operation: 6 AM to 6 PM
Typical Clinical Hours: 7 AM to 4 PM
8 or 10-hour shifts, for a 40-hour work week.
 

Job Duties:

• Provide competent, evidence-based care to assigned patients.

• Provide patient management, care coordination, and discharge/disposition planning for outpatient settings.

• Assist family members and caregivers with receiving the most appropriate options and services to meet their complex health care needs. This includes, but is not limited to, acute, chronic, multiple, complex, catastrophic, or life-threatening illnesses; combat stress, residuals of traumatic brain injury; community adjustment; addictions and other health problems.

• Coordinate care with multiple providers across all levels and sites of care.

• Address psychosocial, as well as nursing and medical needs of patients and their families/caregivers, through participation in interdisciplinary patient care management practices.

• Evaluate care and outcomes to ensure timely and appropriate provisions of services.

• Coordinate and implements discharge plans by arranging for transition to the next level of care, in compliance with the multidisciplinary treatment plan.

• Be responsible for documenting outcomes at the program or service level.

• Execute position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex patient care.

• Evaluate outcomes of evidence-based decisions and practice changes for individuals, groups, and populations.

• Program or service level outcomes must be broad and complex and can be demonstrated at any organizational level within a facility.

• Comply with regulatory, MTF, and Joint Commission quality inspection/ peer review/ utilization management requirements, and applicable system applications.

• Complete training to obtain knowledge and maintain competency in the following systems: MHS Genesis, Dragon dictation software, and Microsoft Office programs. Job Requisition Request 2 Revised August 2025

• Contractor employees shall prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established MTF standards, to include, but not limited to: timeliness, accuracy, content, and signature. Contractor employees shall only use DoD approved abbreviations for documentation in the patient health records. (DoDI 6025.13 and DoDM 6055.05)

• Document and close notes in MHS Genesis within three (3) business days of patient encounters.

• Respond to beneficiary messages submitted and received in the MHS Genesis secure portal systems within one (1) business day.

Qualifications

Preferred:

Experience in MHS Genesis, Dragon dictation software, and Microsoft Office Programs.

Required:

Education*:

  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by ACEN, CCNE

OR

  • Individuals attending a master’s level bridge program in nursing who have completed coursework equivalent to a bachelor’s level degree in Nursing may have opportunity to become registered as a nurse with a state licensing board prior to completion of the bridge program. Upon achievement of a State license, the individual may be appointed on temporary basis and later converted to a permanent appointment upon successful completion and graduation from the bridge program.

 

Certification:

  • Basic Life support (BLS)

Board:  Possess ONE of the following certifications:

  • Commission for Case Manager Certification Certified Case Manager (CCM),
  • Certification of Disability Management Specialists Comm
