Description
The Warehouse Associate supports both the production and operations teams and is responsible for freight loading, unloading, and stocking raw materials. Additionally, Warehouse Associates are an integral component of ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counting and location maintenance. The ideal associate will possess leadership abilities, promote safety, and demonstrate teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving of warehouse items.
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
- Receives products from outside vendors, verifies counts, and enters accurate information into the ERP system.
- Effectively communicate the delivery of high priority inventory to the team.
- Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
- Inventory cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly inventory area and warehouse.
- Follow safety/company regulations on forklift/equipment.
- Pulling and organizing material to ensure a smooth production process.
- Other duties as needed to support the production and operations teams.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior forklift experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desired.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Basic computer skills (ie. ERP, Microsoft excel).
- Familiarity with standard practices in a Shipping/Receiving environment is necessary.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· 1 year of warehouse experience is a must
