Night Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)

The Clinical Liaison Nurse is responsible for monitoring and coordinating patient care to assure an organized multidisciplinary approach through the following activities:
 
Qualifications:
 

  • Interprets, supports, and practices the mission and philosophy of the hospital and Department/Services.
  • Supervises the staff in the Emergency Department in the absence of the Manager/Director.
  • Assist with the functions of interviewing, scheduling, performance appraisals and makes recommendations concerning hiring, disciplining and terminating as appropriate.
  • Plans appropriate staffing practices by maximizing the utilization of resources.
  • Forecasts and anticipates the personnel needs of unit with regard to fluctuations in the patient workload.
  • Functions as a clinical role model and serves as patient/family advocate.
  • Assist the nursing staff to solve patient care problems.
  • Assist the nursing staff in the development of decision-making skills in clinical situations.
  • Identifies learning needs of the nursing staff while in the clinical practice setting.
  • Consults with Nursing Administration & Nursing Education regarding educational requirements of nursing staff

  • Participates in the evaluation of patient care through quality assurance/performance improvement activities.
  • Works closely with hospital administrative, department heads and physician staff in order to better coordinate all aspects of patient care.


Requirements:

  • BSN required; MSN preferred; CEN preferred.
  • Current NY State RN License required.
  • Current BLS & ACLS required.
  • Five years progressive nursing experience with a minimum of two years of Emergency/Critical Care exp required.
  • Prior teaching experience preferred

 
TNCC must be obtain at 6 months of employment

Salary Range: $125,000.00 - $130,000.00
