Reports to: Director, Membership and Programs
Location: Mostly remote work, with periodic meetings in the Reston, VA office.
Company: The FAIR Institute, a research-driven, not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the discipline of cyber and operational risk management through education, standards, and collaboration, is seeking a full‐time membership manager for our rapidly growing community. The Institute is made up of over 14,500 forward-thinking risk officers, cybersecurity leaders, and business executives in over 100 countries and counts representation from over 50% of the Fortune 1000. It has been recognized by SC magazine as one of the three most influential industry organizations of the last 30 years.
Role: We are looking for a dynamic and high-energy individual to act as our new Community Membership Manager. Our new Community Relationship Manager shall have the ability to create, maintain and develop relationships with both existing and new members of the Institute and help drive membership growth and engagement. The Community Membership Manager will also be responsible for promoting training courses, member resources, and upcoming events.

Core Responsibilities:
- Provide a personal connection and become a point of contact for every new member via effective onboarding and communication
- Promote continued membership growth through the development of targeted outreach campaigns
- Help nurture member development by engaging them with educational resources, event information, and other activities
- Drive training revenue by effectively promoting and selling training courses
- Assist the Head of Education with the scheduling and set up of training courses
- Enhance social media presence to promote the organization and highlight the benefits of joining
- Support the continuous improvement of membership operations via regular analysis and reporting of member growth and engagement
- Help with the organization and logistics of the annual FAIR Conference and other large Institute events
- Perform various miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Some travel required
Essential Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:
- Outgoing, professional, and service-oriented approach
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills; Exceptional organizational skills
- Self‐directed and results-oriented
- Demonstrated technical skills in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (HubSpot), etc.
- Bachelor’s degree required
