Job Description

Ingram Barge Company is hiring for a Senior Recruiter to join the HR team in Paducah, KY. This role acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the recruiting team and is responsible shore and/or marine roles. The responsibilities of this role will include: sourcing and attracting candidates; screening and interviewing applicants; making hiring decisions autonomously or in conjunction with the hiring manager for certain positions.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Sourcing candidates through the Applicant Tracking System and collaborating with Creative Services to develop effective advertising campaigns
  • Responsible for recruiting efforts for across the business at all levels, including shore, production and marine roles. 
  • Meeting with Hiring Managers to understand specific hiring needs for open positions and guides the hiring manager through the process
  • Building relationships with community and industry partners to market roles and support recruiting needs
  • Supporting the TA team with screening candidates for marine positions as needed
  • Extending conditional job offers, facilitating pre-employment screens, and monitoring completion of this process
  • Training and supporting others on the team as the subject matter expert on recruiting responsibilities & escalated issues
  • Representing the company at career fairs and educational or informative events (High Schools, River Discovery Works, Marine Day, etc

Qualifications

  • Previous HR or Recruiting experience required
  • 4-5 years of TA experience required
  • Understanding of full life cycle recruiting and positions they are recruiting for
  • Understanding of employment law as it relates to recruiting
  • Intermediate or advanced skills with MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to travel, to include overnight
