Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:· Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. · Optimize direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow using industrial engineering methods including line balancing, time studies, as well as both in-plant and external material flow. · Design and implement optimal station layouts that support the operator. · Develop a standard workflow for new and existing products while considering safety and efficiency. · Support safety performance of the manufacturing area through the design of ergonomic solutions for different operations and material handling. · Recommend improvements and/or modifications for a sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters. · Direct strategy deployment by completing Bottleneck Analysis and Value Stream Mapping. · Design kitting operations, carts, routes, and kitting warehouse. · Coordinate required materials with Supply Chain and Production Control to ensure materials are available for production and to maximize production output. · Create yearly budget and monitor resource allocation and asset utilization for assigned projects. · Use of project/program management tools and techniques. · Direct supervision of approximately 2-4 Industrial Engineers and/or Mechanical Engineers.· Work within the following methodologies and tools: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Material Flow Planning, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Visual Management (5S), Value Stream Mapping, Time Studies, Line Balancing, Kitting, Process Flows, Packaging Design, Line Layout Development, Process Simulation, MBOM Development, Work Instructions, Plan for Every Part (PFEP) Development. · Work with the following technologies: AutoCAD, NX CAD, SQL, Teamcenter, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software, Solidworks, SAP, Flexism, Pro Planner, Oracle ERP, JIRA, Confluence, and Sharepoint.Requirements:· Education: Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related. · Experience/Skills: At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following: 1. Execution and implementation of Lean supply chain practices on shop floor and best material flow path design starting from PFEP workout2. Manufacturing Planning Process using Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology 3. Material Flow Planning & Value Stream Mapping4. ERP, MES5. 5S6. AutoCAD7. Project Management8. Time Study – BasicMOST, MTM
