Role Overview

The Retail Insurance Analyst supports the Relationship Management team in delivering a seamless client experience across investment strategy, servicing, and business development. This role is ideal for a motivated individual seeking to build a career in institutional relationship management with a focus on insurance clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior Relationship Managers in executing account plans and servicing insurance clients.

  • Support Senior Relationship Managers with ongoing business development, client service, and communication with clients and prospects.

  • Coordinate day-to-day delivery of BlackRock’s investment and advisory services, including:

    • Client reporting and portfolio reviews

    • Ad hoc data and strategy requests

    • Compliance monitoring and documentation

  • Support business development efforts by:

    • Preparing pitch materials, RFPs, and client engagement decks

    • Tracking pipeline activity and updating CRM systems

    • Collaborating with internal teams on onboarding and implementation

  • Develop a strong understanding of insurance company dynamics, including:

    • Product structures and distribution models

    • Regulatory and accounting frameworks

    • Strategic priorities and sensitivities

  • Support business development team on product campaign management and tracking with a detailed focus on pipeline organization on BlackRock’s CRM

  • Gather critical data to quickly respond orally and in writing to internal and external stakeholder requests.

  • Build relationships with key internal stakeholders across FIG, Retirement, Legal, and Client Experience teams to ensure coordinated client delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Has or is willing to obtain the Series 7, 63, and 3 licenses.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Demonstrated interest in institutional relationship management and insurance markets.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish credibility with key stakeholders.

  • Collaborative approach to a team-based sales and service model.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$85,500.00 - USD$105,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
