About the role
If you are a Manufacturing Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Shakopee or Chanhassen, MN location, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the development of technologies, products and/or processes to meet quality, cost, schedule, safety, and performance goals.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Apply technical expertise in the production of products.
- Select, design or recommend tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Develop manufacturing processes and procedures to reduce problems and cost.
- Recommend design changes to increase quality or reduce problems and costs.
- Solve production problems and improve process capabilities.
- Participate in the presentation of test results and design reviews.
- Interact with other functional groups, vendors, or customers.
- Participate in the administration of technical procedures.
- Initiate and implement routine engineering change authorizations.
- Support capacity model and lean initiatives. May participate in lean six sigma improvement teams.
- May interact with teammates in numerous global locations
- May be required to travel to other Emerson factories in the United States China, Romania, and Mexico
- Bachelors in engineering
- Zero (0) years of applicable experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- An ABET-accredited engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing is preferred.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The standard salary for this role is $70,000 annually.
