Description
This position provides ongoing recovery coaching for individuals in need of peer recovery support. The Recovery Coach utilizes all pathways of recovery, recovery capital, as well as the 8 dimensions of wellness to guide their work. Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and the recoveree’s needs.
What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference...
- Provide Recovery Coaching supports, including individual meetings.
- Develop Wellness Plans
- Participate in community activities that support and promote recovery.
- Follow patient-center and recovery-oriented treatment approaches.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all clients

Requirements
Qualifications/Credentials
- Lived experience with recovery is required.
- Recovery Coaches must attend the DPH-BSAS 5-day Recovery Coach Academy
- CARC certification is preferred or be working towards the certification and complete it within a year of hiring.
- Has deep understanding and appreciation of the recovery process and supports all pathways of recovery.
- Able to develop trusting relationships.
- Maintain good boundaries and confidentiality.
- Basic computer skills are required and familiarity with an electronic health record is a plus.
- Have strong organizational skills (oral and written) and able to maintain a daily schedule.
- Prior work experience in the healthcare industry, esp. behavioral health.
- Valid MA driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Acceptable CORI and SORI background record check as required by program.
