Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineering Manager in San Francisco, CA.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the work of six (6) engineers to lead platform and data analytics for U.S. Bank Spend Management products. Drive execution and delivery of new platform development areas. Architect, design, and develop highly available, secure, scaled platform services for small business credit card customers. Responsible for product architecture and development, platform engineering practices, standards and strategies for Software as a Service (SaaS) scalability, reliability, performance, and platform orchestration validation and data analytics platform. Maintain team ownership over software lifecycle and execution for new features and products, requirement specification, work order prioritization, development, quality management, defect management, root cause analysis, production implementation, and production support. Design and maintain platform engineering practices, development and release standards, and product delivery orchestration. Conduct team scrums, implement agile product development and implement observability practices. Oversee delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient technology solutions. Collaborate with senior management team and cross functionally with experience development team, DevOps team, product managers, and internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for developing a team-oriented culture. Manage engineers and drive execution of roadmap using Agile methodologies like Sprints or Kanban. Mentor team members develop careers. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of the worksite location. Multiple positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Software Engineering plus 5 years of progressive post baccalaureate experience as a software engineer, software engineering manager, quality assurance engineer, or related.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of experience with each of the following: (a) leading platform software engineering teams; (b) lead end to end integration of AWS-based product design applications; (c)create test plans and test approaches using RESTFUL API; (d) conduct CI/CD using Jenkins and Git; (e) track, resolve, and manage using Jira; (f) Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban; (g) script using the following tools and frameworks: Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.JS, ReactJS, Selenium, Cucumber and TestNG. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of the worksite location.
Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $206,315 - $218,400. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
