Lenoir City Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Technician (VT) to join our growing small animal practice.

This is a hands-on clinical role for veterinary professionals who want to be actively involved in patient care, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, and client education — not just room turnover.

We are a well-established, community-focused veterinary clinic providing comprehensive small animal care, including:

• Preventive and wellness medicine
• Surgery and anesthesia
• Dentistry
• In-house diagnostics and digital radiology
• Medical case management

Clinical & Technical Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with physical exams, treatments, and procedures
• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and fluid therapy
• Prepare patients for surgery and support anesthesia induction and monitoring
• Monitor vitals during procedures and hospitalization
• Perform in-house diagnostics: venipuncture, blood draws, urinalysis, fecal testing, cytology prep
• Assist with digital radiographs and imaging procedures
• Support post-operative recovery and pain management protocols
• Maintain accurate medical records in our veterinary software system
• Uphold a clean, organized, and low-stress clinical environment

🌟 What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Confidence in safe animal handling and restraint
• Working knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
• Strong communication skills with both clients and team members
• Ability to multitask in a busy small animal practice

• 1+ year of veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
• Proficiency with veterinary practice management software (Avimark, Cornerstone, or similar)
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) welcomed but not required
