Job Overview:
As a People Operations Coordinator, you will provide assistance to all aspects of People Operations and will take on responsibilities focused on supporting, developing, and advocating for our current employees as well as identifying and screening the best candidates in the industry. Ideally, you are excited to gain exposure to a wide variety of problems and have a tenacious attitude towards problem-solving and project execution.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with our Operations and Engineering teams to champion key people initiatives
- Engage with and grow your knowledge of engineering across various engineering disciplines
- Track and analyze company metrics to identify patterns, produce reports, and propose solutions for routine tasks and new initiatives
- Administer and process documentation related to employee lifecycle changes including onboarding/offboarding, employment changes, compensation adjustments, etc.
- Own the onboarding process for new hires
- Promote a positive and inclusive company culture by predicting and addressing concerns, offering guidance, and mediating conflicts, as needed
- Support the identification, evaluation, adoption, and maintenance of training programs and career development plans, evaluating technical and non-technical skill sets
- Assist in employee review cycles and coordinate review scheduling across the organization
- Research, evaluate, and administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, equity plans, and retirement plans, assisting employees with benefits-related questions and concerns
- Develop, audit, optimize, and implement policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws
- Partner with the larger community to develop and promote DEI initiatives and inclusivity strategies
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree (Business, Communications, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Psychology, or related field)
- 1+ years of professional experience in a human resources, recruiting, marketing, sales, or a customer service capacity
- Exceptional people and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong ability to create and execute data-backed systems and processes
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- High level of empathy and patience with others
What Would Be Useful:
- Curiosity for technology, electronics, and hardware/software systems (previous exposure to engineering teams or electronics is NOT required)
- Ability to distinguish between the top 25% and the top 5% of talent within their respective fields
- Capacity to learn and speak about our business and projects
- Comfort interfacing directly with managers and executives while building strong relationships with both groups
- Expertise with completing or automating routine tasks with attention to detail
- Experience discussing sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent analytical and planning capabilities, with creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills
