Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).  Our MISSION is to help ensure the security of the United States and its allies by providing high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities through operations, engineering, education, field, and integration services and by acting as environmental stewards to the Site’s Cold War legacy.  Our VISION is to be the user site of choice for large-scale, high-hazard, national security experimentation, with premier facilities and capabilities below ground, on the ground, and in the air. MSTS is seeking a highly skilled, proactive, detail-oriented, highly trained Senior Maintenance Specialist to provide “Best in Class,” innovative, and cost-efficient solutions across the Fleet & Critical Site Infrastructure Division. This role is designed to support a variety of operational functions across the Fleet, Fuel, and Equipment. This is an interdepartmental collaborative position — contributions will directly impact multiple critical functions within the organization. This position will report to the Fleet & Critical Site Infrastructure Division. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of Government Motor Vehicle (GMV) telematics. Such tasks will include: 
    • Geotab dashboard admin for access
    • Ensure Geotab installs are activated from GSA onto our Dashboard
    • Coordinate Geotab installations at outlying locations
    • Order retrofit devices from GSA
    • Update vehicle information in in telematics dashboard
    • Create dashboard reporting
    • Prepare telematics reporting for management and customer requests
    • Monitor GOV usage
    • Vendor tickets for device issues, reporting issues and device replacements
    • Coordinate installation, device troubleshooting and warranty replacements with LF
    • Cross check CIR, ADD and Geotab serial numbers for correct serial references and activations
    • File and submit Geotab exemptions to DOE HG
    • Work with transportation with Geotab issues
    • Geofencing
  • Respond to data and reporting requests from multiple management levels, including DOE/NNSA requiring strong attention to detail and timely follow-through. Reporting will include Federal Automotive Statistical Tool (FAST), an annual internal Vehicle Allocation Methodology (VAM), and other critical reporting tools. 
  • Perform administrative duties such as develop, distributes, schedules, and files reports, and other general office functions. Will work in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word. 
  • May act as Emergency Action Team (EAT) or Emergency representative in the event of Emergency drills and evacuations (as it pertains to the assigned area).
  • Oversee over 1000 assets in Maximo for Fleet and ensure accuracy.
  • Manage competing priorities and provide reliable support across several departments.
  • Interpret mass data, analyze results using statistical techniques, provide ongoing reports, including acquiring data from primary and/or secondary data sources. 
  • Lead and partner with external entities and internal operating departments to identify and resolve escalated issues and/or promptly close gaps.
  • May provide guidance and training to support personnel, casuals, interns, contractors and other support personnel as required to complete assignments.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with company directives.
  • Monitor, prepare and update company documents pertaining to the departments in F&CSI.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Management and any projects as assigned within reason.

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training and experience with at least 5 years relevant, progressively experience.
  • Experience in Fleet business and management principles or related is preferred.
  • Knowledge of telematics (Geotab) is preferred.
  • Able to use software applications needed in the position, MAXIM
