Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Finance Manager to be a key member of the Employer Services & Verification Solutions (ES & VS) finance team as a business partner for the Employer Services team.

Employer Services & Verification Solutions is an area of critical future competitive advantage for Experian. We are anticipating disproportionate growth of these products through a variety of homegrown solutions and acquisitions.  It is strategically important to Experian’s leadership and stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

In this role you will be a critical partner and advisor to the business providing financial, analytical, and strategic insight on P&L, investments, and complex partner agreements. You’ll have the opportunity to influence decision making on investment strategies for products, identify key market drivers for profitability and support resource allocation.

  • Partner with the various business departments such as product management & development, sales, marketing, pricing, and service & delivery teams to provide clear and timely insights and visibility to drive revenue and EBIT growth opportunities
  • Manage the P&L, ensure budgets are achieved and manage key financial processes for month-end/quarter-end close requirements, annual budget, forecasts, and strat plan. This includes planning communication such as internal executive meetings, coordination of presentations to executive leadership, and collaboration with all key stakeholders
  • Coordinate acquisition related finance integration activities enabling the business to deliver on its objectives
  • Manage the multiple acquisition earn-outs in terms of reporting and thought leadership regarding revenue and cost allocations
  • Balance multiple projects, understand the details while at the same time be able to advise strategically on big picture challenges
  • Drive an outside-in perspective by understanding and sharing the market landscape and identify areas to accelerate business growth
  • Determine metrics to monitor and review the effectiveness of investments and advise on future spending
  • Develop new tools, dashboards, and processes to drive scalable analysis and insight. Improve current processes and procedures as we integrate the different business, looking for opportunities to streamline and automate while applying financial discipline, and collaborating with business partners to deliver the broader CIS business strategy
  • Build relationships and collaborate across multiple teams to achieve impactful results
  • Establish best practices, embrace and promote a culture that emphasizes accountability, integrity, partnership and transparency

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline; MBA preferred; familiarity with Tableau a plus
  • 10+ years of related experience in commercial finance, FP&A or closely related role
  • People leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively with executives
  • Role model a growth mindset and promote continuous improvement / process efficiency
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues in a simple manner; ability to adapt message and analysis to fit the audience
  • Highly collaborative, accountable, has a proven track record of partnering with the business to deliver significant financial outcomes
  • Aptitude to learn and drive continuous improvement and solve problems in a team environment. Experience leading improvement efforts in finance
  • Working knowledge of GAAP or IFRS
  • Intellectual curiosity, highly motivated, self-starter who manages projects end-to-end and has a demonstrated track record of getting results, organizing, and prioritizing deadlines.
