Class One Truck Driver

About the Role   Our client is seeking experienced Class 1 Truck Drivers experienced in hauling projects to join their Edmonton team.   Role Description   You will have the opportunity to operate a class one truck, performing hauls for a variety of projects in the local area. You would be relied on to operate equipment safely and efficiently, transporting materials for heavy industrial projects.   Responsibilities   • Drive class one trucks to job sites, haul materials according to project requirements and daily tasks • Conduct pre-trip safety and maintenance inspections on equipment • Attend toolbox and safety meetings as required • Prepare truck to adhere to job safety requirements • Maintain equipment in good operating condition, report and/or log any maintain concerns or mechanical work needed • Communicate with project teams on site, utilizing radios, hand signals, and eye contract • Assist with general project tasks as needed   Skills and Requirements   • Valid class one driver's license and experience in heavy hauling • Commitment to safety and maintenance standards • Ability to manage your own priorities, proactivity, and ability to follow directions • Problem solving skills, ability to adapt quickly to changing situations • Reliability and punctuality • Positive attitude and attention to detail • Ability to work as a team and work collaboratively with other people   What's Next   While we welcome all applications, we will only respond directly to those who are short-listed for a role.
