Job Description

The North America Emerging Payment Products team is responsible for business strategy development, coordination, and planning for Visa’s Emerging Payments in the North America region. The team works closely with product, functional, and organizational leaders within North America. NA is Visa’s largest region and faces some of the most complex and interesting challenges in the payments industry today. Many of the team’s projects involve working on some of the most pressing business and strategic challenges and opportunities facing the North American business.

 

Specifically this person will

* Lead projects or major project workstreams related to Visa Inc.'s North America Emerging Payments strategy, business development, or North America specific initiatives

* Manage the day-to-day project and team activities to meet project goals and timelines

* Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on the role of emerging payments within Visa’s NA Product and overall strategy.

* Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations

* Build strong understanding of our existing products’ value proposition relative to competition and develop unique, creative and impactful solutions by integrating insights across Visa's many expert functional resources.

* Be market informed. Visa has a global footprint. Competition, market dynamics and commercial constructs varies by market. He/She is expected to develop understanding of Emerging Payments model for the key markets and develop pricing derived from the local market understanding and competitive landscape.

* Build business cases for Emerging Payment solutions and lead cross-functional effort to drive the initiatives to completion.

* Define pricing KPIs and measure the effectiveness of Emerging Payment solutions to enable continuous improvement

* Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise and impactful way including through executive ready presentations and briefing memos

* Provide continuous coaching and training to junior members of the team and contribute towards broader team development activities.

* This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and goals for Emerging Payments in the NA region, aligned with the company's global strategy and priorities.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of product managers, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, operations, finance, and other functions to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive opportunities, and translate them into product requirements and solutions.
  • Define and track key performance indicators and use data and feedback to inform product decisions and optimize user experience and business value.
  • Manage the product budget, resources, and roadmap, and prioritize trade-offs and dependencies.
  • Represent the NA product team and portfolio to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, customers, and partners.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
