The Director, Network Optimization will own complex network projects tied to capital investment. This includes modeling the entire distribution and manufacturing network and running scenarios to determine the best course of action for large-scale initiatives.  In many instances this will also include being a project manager for these initiatives that are focused on supply chain service and cost improvement. 

Ways you will make a difference

• Lead the Network Design team in designing, building, and maintaining network optimization models that support business initiatives.
• Manage monthly utilization projections for Ferrara’s distribution and manufacturing network to drive decision-making around expansion and contraction of critical operations infrastructure. 
• Own scenario modeling initiatives that involve the purchasing of additional capital or storage space for long-term needs.
• Identify infrastructure required to support business plan and develop capital investment plans.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support analytics projects involving complex datasets and advanced analytics.
• Assist cross-functional teams to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent high value/cost projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Deep understanding of Supply Chain principles including network flow, inventory policies, warehouse and quality procedures, finance, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with optimization-based data science.
• Ability to translate complex analytical work into conclusions and recommended actions for the business.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships across all functions while fostering a culture of collaboration.
• Demonstrated leadership and development of direct reports.

Experiences that will support your success

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or similar field required.
• 7-10 years’ experience in supply chain / network optimization or related field, including 3+ years managing direct reports.
• Experience in large scale projects involving distribution modeling and product sourcing, preferably in CPG
• Experience in Network Optimization/Design tools is a plus
• Proven track record of tangible impact to top/bottom line.
