Position Overview
The Investor Relations Analyst will support the Vice President of Investor Relations in developing and updating the company’s external communications with equity and debt holders. Core activities include refining the company’s investment thesis, communicating DN strategy, explaining financial results, and articulating the company’s competitive advantages to institutional and individual stakeholders. In this role, the Analyst will interact with the corporate leadership team as well as internal subject matter experts across the company (finance, legal, treasury, tax, Banking, Retail media relations, internal communications, and marketing).
You are responsible for
- Working closely with the Vice President of Investor Relations to communicate quarterly financial results to the investment community. Key deliverables include the earnings release, presentation slides, FAQ’s and scripts for CEO & CFO
- Develop investor targets; plan and track shareholder outreach activities
- Contribute to the planning and scheduling of key events such as non-deal roadshows, investor conferences and company investor days
- Track consensus estimates for Diebold Nixdorf revenue, earnings, cash flow and price targets
- Monitor analyst research reports for Diebold Nixdorf and peer companies, banking and retail news, changes in equity ownership, block trading and short interest. Share findings with DN executives
- Conduct financial analysis, modeling and valuation comparisons for Diebold Nixdorf and peer companies. Findings will be shared with Diebold Nixdorf leadership team
- Communicate with existing and potential shareholders, including equity analysts, portfolio managers, individual shareholders, stockbrokers and others while adhering to US Securities laws and company disclosure policies
- Draft monthly IR updates for Management Business Reviews and quarterly reports for the Board of Directors
- Contribute to the development of Diebold Nixdorf’s Annual Report and Proxy. Support the Annual Meeting of Shareholders including the CEO’s presentation
- Collaborate with Media Relations, Internal Communications and Marketing on external messages and social media strategy
- Manage external vendors to coordinate quarterly conference call/webcasts, enhance understanding of equity and debt trading, document changing investor perceptions, and develop new company messaging
- Respond to incoming questions from the investor relations mailbox and 1-800 phone number. Coordinate updates to the IR Website through third party vendor
- Monitor trends in corporate disclosures and investor relations
Required Qualifications
- Position requires Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics
- Strong communications, writing, presentation and organizational skills
- Strong financial acumen including ability to conduct/review financial analysis, valuation analytics, and financial modeling for a global company
- Ability to manage multiple projects and quickly adjust to regularly evolving demands
- A minimum of three years’ business experience (in Finance, Investor Relations, Equity Research etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the capital markets, investment community, equities and/or bonds
- Knowledge of the banking and retail industries
- Knowledge of global economics
