Summary:

 

We are searching for a visionary (Senior) Product Manager to join our newly formed team working on Generative AI and Foundation Models development for ABAP in Newport Beach. This dynamic team is at the forefront of SAP’s cloud transformation efforts, leveraging large language models to accelerate our customers’ data and code transformation. The team collaborates closely with established teams in Europe and India, various SAP stakeholders, UC Irvine, and early adopter customers. You will play a key role in shaping the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our ABAP Foundation Models. 

What you’ll do:

 

• Product Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision, goals, and roadmap for the ABAP Foundation Models created by the team. 

• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and global stakeholders, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery. 

• Prioritization: Prioritize features and improvements based on stakeholder feedback, market demands, and business goals. 

• Customer Engagement: Engage with early adopter customers to gather feedback and validate product features. 

 

What you bring:

 

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. 

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management with strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts. 

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of interfacing with stakeholders at all levels and communicating requirements effectively. 

• Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs, and the ability to translate them into impactful product features. 

• Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

The ABAP Foundation Model team is pioneering AI innovations within the SAP ABAP ecosystem. It is an integral part of the Generative AI foundation within Business AI at SAP. We focus on creating and refining our own Foundation Models using SAP Business Data, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI in business applications.
