Project Coordinator - Sexual and Reproductive Health & Maternal and Child Health

About the role

Altarum’s Community Health Practice Area is seeking a Project Coordinator to work across the following focus areas: sexual and reproductive health and maternal and child health. Some of the relevant projects may include the National Coalition of Sexual Health and the Early Childhood Systems Technical Assistance and Coordination Center. 
The successful candidate will provide support that includes notetaking for client and team meetings; scheduling and coordinating meetings, webinars, and membership and TA events; coordinating consultant agreements and travel arrangements; and other project administrative duties. This position requires excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication, and attention to detail. During your career at Altarum you will work on many projects and your specific tasks and responsibilities will vary across projects, with the potential for career advancement.   

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to project teams 
  • Take notes during project meetings, synthesize key decisions made, summarize action items 
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings and training/TA activities and events 
  • Assist in updating project activities and communications in the membership and TA activity tracker to maintain a timely account of project activities across the team 
  • Coordinate consultant participation in TA and assist in the development of consultant agreements and the coordination of consultant travel 
  • Assist in the coordination of the project evaluation 
  • Provide administrative support as requested for the development of TA packages, reports, memos, tools, toolkits, online learning courses, webinar presentations, and podcasts 
  • Work collaboratively with Altarum project staff and with other external SMEs and TA providers  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of project coordination experience  
  • Experience with coordinatingand notetaking for meetings, trainings, and virtual events; scheduling internal and external meetings for project teams; and coordinating consultant agreements and travel arrangements 
  • Experience coordinating and facilitating virtual meetings; experience with Zoom and Microsoft Teams preferred 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and ability to utilizeSharePoint and other online communication tools 
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking, willingness to step into new roles, strong communication skills, team focused mentality, and a commitment to continuously learning and improving 
  • Interest and experience with sexual and reproductive health and maternal and child health 
  • Ability to travel and provide TA event coordination on-site, as needed 

Logistical Requirements

  • At this time, we will only accept candidates who are presently eligible to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship 
  • Our organization requires that all work, for the duration of your employment, must be completed in the continental U.S. unless required by contract 
  • If you are local to our offices in Arlington, Silver Spring, Ann Arbor, or Portland, ME, this role will be hybrid 
  • Must be able to work during eastern time unless approved by your manager
