Summary:
Assist Category Managers and Buyers in all aspects of the department with primary responsibility of setting and maintaining new items. Contact brokers, vendors, and sales representatives for needed information by the department. Create documents pertinent to item and category information or as requested by Category Manager. Enter store orders in the system. Track and monitor purchase orders and SSO orders. Create reports for Buyers and Category Managers on a weekly basis or as needed. Assist in the billing of manufacturers and vendors for appropriate charges. Proof information before it is sent to Retail.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide both internal team members and retail members with excellent customer service.
- Run various reports for buyers and Category Managers to help them manage the business.
- Check on late PO’s as well as tracking the delivery dates with traffic and vendors.
- Print and rekey buyer outs daily.
- Set up new items and maintain item and vendor integrity in our system.
- Research and respond to retailer inquiries
- Work in DemandTec as needed in creating and accepting deals and swells.
- Create and monitor item surveys, show and otherwise.
- Assist vendors and brokers with information about their items, pertaining to VMC promotions.
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced Excel and Access knowledge
- Skilled in displaying quantitative information in visual formats (Excel, PowerPoint, PDF).
- Detail oriented, organized and accurate, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strategic thinker who identifies opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Natural inquisitiveness to exploring data and looking for insights to drive business decisions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills. Excellent planning and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
