Accounts Receivable Associate

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Process Cash Receipts - Match and post cash receipt batches from the bank lockbox, key punch remittance details for specific cash receipts, resolve payment issues related to remittance information, and post cash receipt batches to the general ledger.  Reconcile daily bank batch totals to general ledger.
• Miscellaneous Adjustments and Questions Regarding Receivables - Post adjustments, research accounts receivable and cash related questions, and process refund requests for erroneous cash payments.
• Set Up Supplier Master Data for Manufacturing and Retail Companies - Enter supplier master data for newly requested suppliers including payment methods and applicable Form 1099 reporting information.
• Month End Reporting and Miscellaneous - Reconcile cash received to the general ledger.  Complete other reconciliations as needed.  Perform other accounting department functions as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional course work in accounting preferred
• 0-4 years of experience with data entry, accounting, and reconciling accounts
• Good computer skills, keypunch skills, and attention to detail
