The Role & YouLatino Media Network is seeking highly skilled and motivated Board Operators to join our team as part time freelancers.  As a Board Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of live games, events, and shows, while also assisting in monitoring and controlling audio feeds during broadcasts. If you have a passion for sports and a keen eye for technical details, we want to hear from you! 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in operating games, remotes, or shows.
• Report to the studio at the scheduled and agreed time to ensure prompt setup and preparation for live broadcasts.
• Write accurate times on the program log for segments that are broadcasted.
• Note any discrepancies, commercials not playing as scheduled, loss of remote feed, or any on-air issues, and promptly report them to the production team.
• Assist in setting up and operating audio and video equipment required for games or events, ensuring all technical aspects are in place for seamless broadcasting.
• Monitor and control the audio feeds during games to ensure smooth broadcasting and live streaming, making real-time adjustments as necessary.
• Coordinate with the production team to execute audio elements during shows, ensuring a high-quality audio experience for viewers.
• Maintain a backup plan for technical contingencies during live shows and events, anticipating and preparing for potential issues.
• Quickly respond to unexpected technical challenges to minimize disruptions, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain the broadcast's integrity.

You Have These

Experience:

• Proven experience in operating audio and video equipment in a live broadcasting environment, preferably in sports production.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish & English.
• Strong technical knowledge of audio systems, video equipment, and broadcasting software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate timing and smooth operation of broadcasts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with team members.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for live broadcasts and events.
• Knowledge of sports and passion for delivering high-quality sports broadcasts is a plus.

CompensationAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The base salary for this position is $14-$16 per hour.
