Job Description​

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit is actively seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team in a PRN capacity. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the busiest Emergency Department in the Saint Luke’s Health System.

As an Emergency Department RN, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, working with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to provide the full spectrum of emergency care—from triage to trauma.

**SHIFT** This position has a work commitment of 8 shifts within a 6 week period (at least 3 must be weekend shifts); various shifts. 1 minor and 1 major holiday throughout the year

Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Active Missouri RN license (or compact license)

• Minimum of 1–2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience

• Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills

• Passion for patient-centered care
