About the position

This position is for a second shift staff Quality Inspection technician who works under moderate supervision. Performs moderately complex in-process, final bench, and product feature inspections. Establishes inspection and testing specification and procedures. Reviews inspection and test plans, technical reports, and data. Assists in orienting, training, and assigning the work of business support/technical employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under moderate supervision to assist with inspecting arriving, in-process and completed products for quality.
  • Performs moderately complex in-process, final bench, and product feature inspections. Inspects actual products on the floor and on-line.
  • Performs moderately complex First Article Inspections (FIA) and conformity inspections.
  • Reviews technical reports, graphs, and charts.
  • Establishes inspection and testing specifications and procedures.
  • Reviews inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years’ experience in Electronics or Technical product Manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Technical degree
  • Micro VU operation experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks
  • ISO 9001 standards a plus
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvements a plus
  • Gauge R&R experience
  • Ability to Read & interpret technical drawings / mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Ability to use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, inspection gauges and other measuring tools
  • CMM operation experience
  • Basic GD&T knowledge
  • Ability to evaluate certificate of conformance
