SUMMARY
The Refurbishment Lead supports the Refurb Supervisor as the first line of leadership for associates within the Refurbishment Center. The Lead ensures that all functions within their assigned department are completed daily, on time and with minimal labor expense. Additionally, the Lead ensures that associates are well trained in order to achieve and exceed GameStop’s quality and production standards. This position supports other departments/zones as needed to achieve the overall business objectives of the refurbishment center. This position works under general supervision, interacting with a supervisor several times a week to receive guidance and feedback. Most non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advance approval.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
TIER 1
- Lead and monitor the daily activities of associates within assigned department/area to ensure area meets performance goals (quality/accuracy, production, cost, safety, 5S/cleanliness)
- Utilize Warehouse Management system (WM), Sentinel, and/or other systems to ensure product is accurately located
- Inspect quality of associates’ work to ensure that products being processed and shipped meet GameStop’s quality standards
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on area performance for supervisors and management
- Ensure all associates have standard work and process documents available at the work station, and are trained thoroughly on the process
- Ensure all associates follow safety policies; report any unsafe conditions or practices
- Coach/train associates for performance success
- Consistent with the general nature of this role, work collaboratively with others throughout the ROC to achieve or exceed department objectives; assist in or lead special projects as directed
- Follow all known safety procedures and utilize good operational, loss prevention and safety judgment at all times
- Perform associate job duties as needed
TIER 2
- Lead and monitor the daily activities of associates within assigned department/area to ensure excellent performance against goals (quality/accuracy, production, cost, safety, 5S/cleanliness)
- Identify process improvements/areas of opportunity to improve department/area performance Drive/champion process improvements Identify performance issues, and their potential root causes (training, etc.)
- Demonstrate emotional maturity and respect for diversity in interactions with associates
- Perform all additional duties listed above
TIER 3
- Lead and monitor the daily activities of associates within assigned department/area to ensure excellent performance against goals (quality/accuracy, production, cost, safety, 5S/cleanliness)
- Identify process improvements/areas of opportunity to improve department/area performance
- Drive/champion process improvements that have significant impact on area Identify and drive to improve performance issues, and their potential root causes (training, etc.)
- Demonstrate emotional maturity and respect for diversity in interactions with associates Run a small operation, process, or project independently Run all operational aspects of cell/work area when supervisor is unavailable
