What You Will Do
As the Director of Revenue Cycle Applications, this individual manages a team of Sharp HealthCare Revenue Cycle application managers and analysts and is accountable for the support, maintenance, optimization, and upgrade of the Identity, Prelude, Cadence, HIM/Coding, Resolute HB, Resolute PB, Tapestry, and EpicCare Link applications. This responsibility extends in varying purviews to non-Epic applications that are integrated with Epic and/or aligned with the Revenue Cycle including MDStaff, Experian, 3M/360, and ERP integration. This position reports to the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management and ERP Systems and is responsible for overseeing the daily leadership, administration, and planning of software enhancements, maintenance, and the implementation of new modules or products. The individual works closely with IT Managers, IT Leads, and Project Management staff to ensure projects are completed as planned or specific components are successfully managed. They ensure that the software decision-making process aligns with governance structures, allowing for timely escalations when necessary. This role involves leveraging the governance framework to address team issues and collaborating with stakeholders or leadership to resolve clinical or revenue cycle problems. The individual ensures effective communication between teams regarding tasks and status updates and advocates for the applications they manage, representing them in various forums. They conduct weekly team meetings to review resource allocation, prioritize enhancement requests, and monitor task timelines. They collaborate with Business Owners to address software changes related to patient safety, regulatory compliance, or new local, state, or federal requirements. The role includes identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies for upgrades and new projects, tracking key issues, milestones, timelines, and testing, and ensuring adherence to change control processes. This consistency ensures the quality of changes in the production environment. Additionally, the individual acts as a facilitator, helping different workgroups reach consensus on workflows and processes. While the primary focus is on the Epic product suite, other applications may be assigned to ensure aligned service delivery and customer support.

Required Qualifications
  • 5 Years experience in a health care I.T. setting that included a broad scope of project management, systems analysis, and extensive interaction at all levels of management and staff, focusing on supporting revenue cycle operations.
  • Specific experience and Epic Certification in some of the represented applications.

Other Qualification Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Health Care Administration, or similar. Coursework to include I.T., management, accounting/finance, and quantitative skills. Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years relevant experience may be substitute for the Master's Degree. - REQUIRED

    Exercise leadership in promoting the implementation and adoption of enhancements to support revenue cycle operations and the Sharp HealthCare investment in Epic by partnering closely with business leaders and customers to align the work of the Epic revenue cycle application teams with organizational goals.
    Negotiate client requirements and resolve conflicting demands in view of limited resources and business objectives.
