About the job

The Finance Business Partner team is looking for a Senior Business Partner to collaborate closely with Executive & Business Divisional leadership, provide financial planning, reporting, actionable insights, analysis and strategic decision support to drive business growth and profitability. Support the successful implementation of associated initiatives. Ensure the alignment and optimization of business and financial goals, strategies, plans, policies, processes and controls across the organization.

 

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will:

  • Operate as a trusted advisor to, and work closely with, business executive leadership as an extended member of their leadership team.
  • Assist the development of and execution of financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Ensure ongoing awareness & alignment between all functions of the Finance division and the wider business in the design, development and operation of plans, policies, systems, processes and controls.
  • Leverage competitive information, industry trends, customer metrics and market dynamics to inform company and divisional targets, strategies and plans.
  • Manage the delivery of divisional budgets and forecast and key performance indicators (KPI) to measure success. Monitor performance to ensure results progress to plan and to improve the ongoing accuracy of budget and forecast submissions.
  • Deliver regular financial management reporting and review KPIs, performance and external data to provide insights on divisional and company-wide performance and highlight trends, risks, issues and opportunities to executive leadership.

 

Role Competencies:

  • An ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders and C-Suite.
  • Highly skilled in data analysis and visualization techniques and software to manipulate and interpret financial data.
  • Advanced financial analysis capability, including scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and advanced forecasting techniques.
  • Strategic Financial Planning – skills in developing long-range financial strategies and plans that align with the company’s overall objectives and growth plans.
  • Ability to operate as a thought leader in financial and commercial matters with key internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify risks proactively, implement risk mitigation strategies and assess potential impacts on the business.

 Work Location: Position is open to work in SAS EMEA offices based on where the candidate is eligible to work.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in of professional experience, preferably in a large international publicly owned organization, in a Commercial Finance and/or Business Partnering capacity. Technology industry experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent in accounting or related field required. Master’s degree and/or CPA certification preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles – standards, financial reporting and revenue recognition specific to the technology industry.
  • Ability to lead international cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Experience in manage financial change management efforts and guide the organization through significant transformation.
  • Ability to advocate for financial strategies and influence decision-making with data driven analysis and recommendations.
  • Global mindset and exhibits strong emotional intelligence.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
