Description

The Fixed Operations Manager manages operations function in conjunction with business growth, new operational systems, meeting financial objectives, and establishing operational goals in relation to safety, quality, and timely delivery of products and services.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Utilize internal and external customer service indexes (CSI) to enhance the customer experience, reduce complaints, and increase customer retention.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Administer warranty claims, review warranty policy adjustments, and apply warranty guidelines to ensure correct processing of claims by service personnel.
  • Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department. Monitor inventory levels to maximize turnover and minimize obsolescence.
  • Establish parts pricing parameters to generate sufficient gross profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Hire, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of parts and service personnel.
  • Evaluate the performance of the service and parts departments through “hands on” effort and constant rotational visits to all dealerships.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations in the areas of hazardous communication standards, OSHA compliance, and workplace safety.
  • Use knowledge of the company’s operations to help Controller contain organizational costs.
  • Ensure operational systems properly integrate with the financial systems and support business goals.
  • Account for and maintain vehicles and equipment throughout the organization to ensure proper fixed asset controls.


Qualifications & Expectations

  • 4 year business degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of operational experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a dealership setting
  • Strong PC literacy to include Microsoft Office Suite
  • Requires ability to interact with employees of all levels
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
  • Strategic thinking
  • Communication (both verbal and written)
  • Planning and Organization
