Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites to complete required scope of work.
- Demonstrate adherence to all Voith policies including but not limited to Voith Code of Conduct, Health Safety and Environmental, Corporate travel policy etc.
- Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with the team and customer.
- Monitors and records target achievement regarding quality, schedule, costs and supports corrective actions.
- Must have willingness to learn and be team oriented in field service practices and procedures.
- Take responsibility for documentation of all appropriate communication, customer interaction and correspondence.
- Completes timely and accurate project reports, time records, expense forms and materials consumable reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of industrial hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret general mechanical and structural diagrams.
- Ability to use high precision measuring tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, and pi tapes.
- Industrial maintenance, machinist or similar experience
- Experience operating and maintaining a grinding machine preferred.
- General knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components
- Experience leading high value jobs preferred
Physical Demands:
- Requires extensive travel, occasionally on short notice, often on weekends and holidays. National and International travel required. Must maintain a valid passport. Primary travel would include USA, Canada, and Mexico.
- Travel by air and ground transport.
- Travel requires insurability, driver’s license and valid Passport.
- On-site work requires exposure to potentially hazardous chemical and mechanical conditions for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally requires long hours in hot, noisy and dusty environments.
- Occasional crouching, kneeling, stooping, twisting, reaching, climbing and balancing.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, grasping, feeling, pushing/pulling and lifting/carrying required.
