Position Description:

The temporary Physical Security Technician II position will provide technical and administrative support for systems, programs, projects, and processes relating to physical security, access control, and life safety systems. This position will support the Belknap, Health Sciences, and Shelbyhurst campuses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintain security alarm testing program. 

  • Oversee vendor identification/access badge program. 

  • Identify and resolve technical matters while using sound judgement. 

  • Lead and provide administrative and technical support for new installs, service requests and special projects. 

  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal/external customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Physical access administration experience

  • Knowledge of physical access control systems and video surveillance systems

  • One to three years’ experience in installations, programming, or troubleshooting of commercial security systems

  • Valid Driver’s license

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Must be able to serve in on-call capacity to resolve system issues that impact operational readiness

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
